International Internships: Student's first-hand accounts of experience

Students of Mody University selected for Summer Undergraduate Programme at University of North Texas

Jagrati Valecha and Gunjan Soni, students of College of Engineering and Technology (CET), are selected for the Summer Undergraduate Programme in Engineering Research (SUPER) at the University of North Texas (UNT). The internship will take place from June 8th July to 31st July, 2015.

Jagrati Valecha will be working with Dr. Shengli Fu on the project related to Wireless Communication, while Gunjan Soni will be working with Dr. Hassan Takabi on the project related to Cyber Security.

The UNT College of Engineering will pay for the cost of living on campus during the internship.

Mody University wishes both of them all the best for the internship, as well as all their future endeavours.

Nishtha Bhatnagar

Ms. Nishtha Bhatnagar, the student of College of Engineering and Technology (CET) of Mody University, has been invited to join Microelectronics Research Centre at prestigious IOWA State University (ISU) under the tutelage of Dr. Vikram Dalal.


Her appointment as a visiting student will begin from June 1. 2015 and will last for approximately 6 weeks. She will conduct research on a project related to solar cells. She will be provided with work space, use of softwares and laboratory facilities, as well as access to the University library.


Currently in the 3rd year of engineering, her CGPA at present is remarkably stellar 8.91.

Neha Kumari

Ms. Neha Kumari, the Final Year student of ECE branch from College of Engineering and Technology (CET), has brought immense glory and approbation to Mody University by putting up a stellar show in GATE 2015 examination.


Her all-India rank is 3287 out of 172714 which is a remarkable feat. The University extends a congratulatory note to her, and wishes for her bright future.

Ankita Jadon

After doing B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from GWEC, Ajmer, she has successfully completed dual degree program M. Tech. (Nuclear Science & Technology) from MITS, Lakshmangrah (Sikar) & M.Sc. (SNEAM) from Ecole des Mines de Nantes (EMNantes), Graduate School of Engineering, France.

A 50 % waiver in Tuition & Hostel Accommodation fees (total amount about 520 Euros per month) is being given to her. A scholarship by the French government- Region Pays de la Loire - of 4000 Euros in First semester at EMNantes is also conferred upon her. She has done one semester internship at the IRSN (Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety), working in their partner laboratory in University of Lille, France on a European Project. She fetched 1200 Euros per month as fellowship by the IRSN.

Dissertation Title: "Ageing of Sodium Aerosols- Development of Modified Cooper Model"

She has been selected to do her Ph. D. on the topic "Interaction of Radionuclide and Sodium Fire Aerosols" and will be getting 2200 Euros per month as fellowship. The research project is funded by French multinational company- ARVEA and the IRSN.

Akanchha

After doing B. Tech. in Information Technology from MITS, Lakshmangarh (Sikar), she has successfully completeddual degree program M. Tech. (Nuclear Science & Technology) from MITS, Lakshmangrah (Sikar) & M.Sc. (SNEAM) from Ecole des Mines Nantes (EMNantes), Graduate School of Engineering, France.

She has received 50 % waiver in Tuition & Hostel Accommodation fees (total amount about 520 Euros per month) and a scholarship by the French government- Region Pays de la Loireof 4000 Euros in First semester and 3000 Euros in second semester at EMNantes, France – is awarded to her. She has completed one semesterinternship at SUBATECH- Laboratorie de Physique et des technologies associates, Nantes, France and got 570 Euros per month as fellowship.

(Nuclear Science & Technology) program from MUST, Lakshmangrah (Sikar) and has joined M. Sc. (SNEAM) program at Ecole des Mines de Nantes (EMNantes), Graduate School of Engineering, France. She is given 50 % waiver in Tuition & Hostel Accommodation fees (total amount about 520 Euros per month). She is selected to do one semester internship at the IRSN (Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety), Cadarache, France.
