  • She can also be appointed as Judicial Magistrate and Judges. This is the requirement at the All India level. Thousands of posts of Judicial Magistrates & Judges are lying vacant. The Supreme Court, therefore, directs to fill these posts. In fact, the Government has declared the scheme of ‘Gram-Nyayalaya’ for which several Gram Judicial Magistrates are required.
  • In addition, she can also apply for administrative services at the Central and State levels.
  • She can join as an executive in MNCs.
  • If she has an interest in studying more and researching, she can become an academician. As a result, she can join as a Law professor, Law teacher in different universities, Law Colleges, and other institutions.
  • Legal Assistants and Public Prosecutors in Government offices and Judicial Courts are also regular requirements related to legal studies.
  • Your daughter can also opt for the positions of Government Advocates, Judge Advocates in Defence Services.

1)   Litigators

This career will make you appear in court every single day. Your earning will began on the very first day. Your work is to assist, draft, converse, type, and even much more.

Minimum Qualification:To become a lawyer in India, aspirants must complete 12th, pursue undergraduate/integrated law courses, and clear the All India Bar Examination.

2)   Corporate Lawyer

A law firm is just a business established by an individual or multiple lawyers to make a profit by practicing law skills. Such law firms tend to expand their geographical reach to capture more areas for more clients. Along with small firms, there are also huge firms that deal with acquisitions, corporate sectors, competition, finance, tax, banking, etc.

Minimum Qualification: Candidates can pursue a 5-year integrated law program such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCOM. LLB.B.SC LLB etc.

Candidates can also pursue master’s degrees such as LLM in Corporate law, corporate and securities law, corporate and commercial law, etc.

3)   Public Prosecutor

This is an advocate appointed by the Government to embody the state in criminal matters. State public service commissions perform examinations for appointing such prosecutors.

Minimum Qualification: Candidate should have a degree in law like LLB, LLM or an integrated course such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCOM LLB etc.

4)   Judicial Services

The appointing process of becoming a judge may vary among various countries. Anyway, the state’s public service commissions conduct examinations in most places. In some places, even freshers are eligible for such exams but at some, experience is the key.

Minimum Qualification: The candidate must have completed an LLB degree of 3 or 5 years from a Government and Bar Council recognized University.

  • Lecturer/Professor of Law

A law professor teaches courses in law to students in universities and law schools. They prepare and deliver lectures accordingly syllabus of Law.Law Professors perform legal research and write technical reports of their findings.

Minimum Qualification: An individual should have a good academic record with a PhD. Degree. An individual must have a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale of the UGC in the LL.M. Degree from any recognized university. The candidate must have cleared the NET, commonly known as the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), which is a competitive exam organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to select appropriate aspirants for the post of a law professor.

  • Legal advisors

One of the most career options in law is legal advisor. As a legal advisor, you’d be responsible for advising your client on legal issues, preventing litigation, and taking care of contractual and regulatory problems. Legal advisors have to negotiate with the other party to resolve disputes and analyze contracts for their organization. Organizations rely on legal advisors to prevent legal disputes. Legal advisors usually offer advice to the upper management of a company and work with them to resolve any legal disputes that arise. Prominent skills in this sector include Legal Research, Contract Negotiation, Contract Management, and Litigation Case Management.

Minimum Qualification: It can be a 5 years integrated LLB or a 3-year LLB. They can further go for a PG Diploma in Law or LLM, but LLB is the minimum qualification they require to work as a legal advisor.

7)   Criminologist

For those who want to kick start a career in Law, pursuing Criminology courses or specializing in this law can be a suitable route. Being an Interdisciplinary field, an individual will get to learn various facets of Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, etc.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in criminology or any other relevant discipline such as 3 year and 5 year LLB degree.

8)   Litigation Support Professional

They usually reinforce attorneys in the regulation of large-scale litigation. And yes, they design and contrivance databases to classify, register, regulate, and conclude large volumes of data produced every single day. Such professionals are in demand because of the integration of technology into legal services.

Minimum Qualification: Candidate need a law degree and to pass the LSAT.

9)   Solicitor

A solicitor is an expert who drafts a list of documents and consults with his clients. Such solicitor needs to appear in court on behalf of the client.

Minimum Qualification: The candidate must have completed an LLB degree of 3 or 5 years from a Government and Bar Council recognized University.

10) Paralegal

A paralegal is a synonym of a legal assistant who works either in public law firms or private law firms. The work of paralegal is to perform various legal tasks for attorneys. Unlike a secretary, they indulge in major activities like arranging the preparation of hearings, meetings, trial matters, and communication with the clients. Legal analysts are legal specialists who support individual lawyers and legal teams. They are responsible for conducting research, assembling legal documents and evidence, and maintaining databases and tracking systems.

Minimum Qualification:  Candidates can complete their 10+2 in any stream such as science, commerce or arts. Their career path is different from a lawyer, and they can start pursuing a diploma after completing the 12th standard. An undergraduate diploma or certification is required to become a legal analyst.

11) Banking & Insurance Sector

Banks & Insurance organizations tend to have their own independent legal departments. So the very initial recognition you may get in this sector is “Administrative Officer(Law)” or “Specialist Officer(Law).”

Minimum Qualification:Insurance companies conduct examinations independently. Even freshers are welcome for such exams. At last, on the basis of merit and interview, candidates are selected and allocated to their respective positions in a bank. On the other side, there are also some banks that recruit graduates just through an interview.

12)                      Investigation Agencies

Be it CBI, FBI, ED, or state investigation agencies, lawyers are always in demand to work in such reputed investigative agencies. Candidates are usually recruited through competitive exams or rigorous selection procedures apart from inter-service transfers.
