Electrical Engineering
Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Mody University of Science and Technology, Lakshmangarh (Sikar). The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2009. Electrical Engineering is built on one of the oldest and most essential engineering disciplines. This field powers every aspect of modern infrastructure, from power grids and renewable energy systems to consumer electronics and industrial automation.
As electricity remains integral to modern life, rapid advancements in generation, transmission, and distribution have opened new frontiers that demand intricate knowledge of programming, hardware, and mathematical analysis, making the discipline both challenging and rewarding. The curriculum offers a strong blend of core subjects like Network Theory, Control Systems, and Power Systems with electronics and computing areas such as Analog & Digital Circuits, Microprocessors, and advanced programming languages, equipping students with versatile skills for industry and higher studies.
Electrical power is an integral part of modern life. It is impossible to visualize the world without electricity. There has been rapid advancement in generation, transmission and distribution technologies, opening up new frontiers. The degree of sophistication of controlled technology has reached a stage where an intricate knowledge of programming, hardware and mathematical analysis is mandatory. It makes the field very attractive and interesting.
The Department remains committed to academic excellence, ethical values, and the development of competent women professionals who can contribute meaningfully to industry, research, the public sector, and technological innovation.
Electrical Engineering graduates have a wide scope in government jobs through PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, PGCIL, NHPC, SJVN, and state electricity boards, along with recruitment in UPSC ESE, SSC JE, RRB, DRDO, ISRO, BARC, and State Power Corporations, etc. The branch also offers rich research opportunities in emerging areas such as smart grids, electric vehicles, power electronics, renewable energy integration, high-voltage engineering, and AI-based power system automation.
