Dr. Sunita Kumari is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mody University of Science and Technology. With over 18 years of extensive academic experience, her research focus encompasses Multilevel Inverters, Power Electronics Drives and Control, Renewable Energy Resources, Power Systems, Sliding Mode Control, Control Systems, and Electric Vehicles.

Dr. Kumari has authored more than 37 scientific papers in reputable national and international journals and conferences, and she regularly participates in webinars, short-term courses, national and international conferences, and seminars in Electrical Engineering. She has supervised more than 30 undergraduate projects and four postgraduate dissertations, and is currently supervising Ph.D. research in the area of Energy Management Systems for Electric Vehicles.

As Department Head, she oversees academic programmes, promotes research initiatives, and nurtures talent through value-added courses aligned with SCADA and Smart Grid, Electric Vehicle Technology, Electric System Design, and Solar and Wind Energy System Design. Her leadership drives excellence in teaching, research, and industry engagement, with broader implications for renewable energy, power systems, and electric vehicle technologies.
