Structured Equation Modeling using AMOS, SMART PLS and Panel Data Modeling

(Hybrid Mode)

Mody University of Science and Technology’s School of Business hosted a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from April 26 to 30, 2025, with an emphasis on structural equation modellingutilising AMOS, SMART PLS, and panel data modelling. By providing practical training in cutting-edge statistical tools and data analysis approaches, the event sought to improve the research capacities of academicians, researchers, and industry stakeholders. On April 26, 2025, Prof. (Dr) AshutoshBhardwaj, President of Mody University of Science and Technology, Dr. Satyendra Sharma, and Dr. SaurabhChadha from BITS Pilani graced the inaugural event, which took place in the SangeetSamratTansenSabhagar.

To set the tone for the next few days, the workshop started with an introduction to panel data modelling and SPSS. On Day 2, participants investigated statistical tests and software programs. Dr. Chadha’s talk on EViews for time series forecasting followed Dr. Sharma’s emphasis on parametric tests and factor analysis. Dr. ShaluMahajan conducted a session on regression analysis and correlation to wrap up the day. Advanced structural equation modelling (SEM) with AMOS was the focus of day three. The University of Delhi’s Prof. (Dr.) Hamendra Kumar Dangi led practical exercises on advanced SEM concepts and model formulation.Day 4 began with a presentation by Dr. LalitaKumari on STATA software for panel data modelling, after which Dr. AshutoshMuduli of PanditDeendayal Energy University led participants through qualitative research techniques. Dr. NirankushDutta used SMART PLS software to introduce PLS-SEM on Day 5. Following a lively cultural performance by the students, the program came to an end with a valedictory ceremony in which all of the offline participants received certificates.

Prof. (Dr.) AshutoshBhardwaj, President of Mody University, was thanked for his unwavering support during the FDP program as the event came to a close. Also acknowledged were Prof. (Dr.) SunitaVerma, Assistant Dean, School of Business; Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Rathore, Convener; Prof. (Dr.) Manish Didwania, Coordinator; Dr. JyotiYuvraj Singh Gaur, Co-Coordinator; and all of the faculty, research scholars, and students who helped make the event a success.
