Dr. Akanksha Bharti is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Mody University of Science and Technology and a proud alumna of Patna Women’s College and Central University of South Bihar. Her academic journey is marked by Gold Medals at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is qualified for UGC-NET JRF and GATE, and was awarded an ICSSR travel grant to present research at the International Congress of Psychology (ICP) 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic.

She has completed her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Central University of South Bihar and has been recognised as one of 40 Emerging Psychologists worldwide. Her research interests include Health Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Geropsychology.

Dr. Bharti's research focuses on Health Psychology, Geropsychology, and Positive Psychology. Her doctoral research explores "Self-Perceptions of Ageing and Death Anxiety among Older Adults: Efficacy of Cognitive Restructuring for Psychological Wellbeing and Successful Ageing." She has published in the Journal of Applied Gerontology (Q1), OMEGA: Journal of Death and Dying (Q2), and the Indian Journal of Psychological Sciences (Web of Science). Her research interests include mental health, successful ageing, and the psychological wellbeing of older adults with chronic illnesses.
