Dr. Devi Lal Punia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mody University of Science and Technology, with over 19 years of extensive academic experience. Research
Dr. Punia's research focuses on the simulation of photovoltaic (PV) modules for maximum power point tracking using MATLAB SIMULINK. His work addresses the growing demand for renewable energy resources in the context of the global energy crisis and climate change. Solar energy, harnessed through PV systems, offers clean, noiseless, and eco-friendly power generation; however, its output is dependent on weather conditions. Dr. Punia investigates Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms — including Perturb and Observe, Incremental Conductance, Fuzzy Logic, and Artificial Neural Networks — to enhance the reliability and efficiency of solar energy systems by identifying the optimal power point under varying irradiation conditions.
