Dr. Jyoti Rawat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Mody University of Science and Technology, Lakshmangarh, Sikar, Rajasthan. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Kumaun University, Nainital, specialising in microalgal biofuels, and has qualified the ICAR-NET examination in Agricultural Microbiology.

She has submitted microbial strains to NCBI, serves as a reviewer for several international journals, and has actively contributed to multiple departmental administrative roles at Mody University. With an h-index of 14 and over 1,100 citations, she is a highly productive early-career researcher.

Dr. Rawat's research focuses on algal biotechnology, bioremediation, bioenergy, waste management, and agricultural microbiology. Her research experience includes serving as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on projects related to fungal biofertilisers and a DST-funded Indo-Russian project on microbial consortia for bioelectricity and biofuel production. She has received multiple national and international research awards and delivered an invited talk at the Academia World Edu Fair (2024). She is currently Co-PI on a DBT-BIRAC project (₹20 lakhs) on desert bacterial biofertilisers.
