Dr. Navneet Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Mody University of Science and Technology with over 18 years of teaching experience. He completed his Ph.D. in the molecular characterisation of microbial isolates with industrial applications, and their cyto-morphological analysis under heavy metal contamination on plants, from the University of Rajasthan.

He has supervised four Ph.D. scholars and 17 dissertation students, and holds an H-index of 16, an i-10 index of 24, and 972 citations. A versatile educator, he collaborates with industry and works on interdisciplinary projects, and has secured research grants from national funding agencies.

Dr. Joshi's research areas of expertise span Environmental Biotechnology, Microbial Biotechnology, Bioremediation, Plant and Agri-Biotechnology, Natural Products, and Antimicrobial Resistance. He serves on the editorial boards of reputed national and international journals including SN Applied Sciences (Springer Nature) and Ecological Indicators (Elsevier). He is currently working on the molecular characterisation of industrially important microorganisms (IMOs) and the development of potential microbial consortia using recombinant technology. He has delivered invited lectures at workshops, conferences, and refresher and orientation courses at national and international levels.
