Overview


Dr. Prabhat is an Assistant Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Mody University of Science and Technology, holding a UGC-NET qualification and a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication. He brings more than nine years of industry experience including work as a Senior Sub-Editor at Dainik Bhaskar, combined with over four years of teaching experience, offering students a rich blend of practical newsroom insight and academic rigour.

He also received practical training at All India Radio, Bathinda (FM 101.1), and contributed to a Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign organised by the Press Information Bureau, Chandigarh.

Dr. Prabhat's research focuses on the evolving relationship between media, technology, society, and communication practices. He has co-authored three books with Prof. Sewa Singh Bajwa, and his research papers have been published in journals including the Journal of Communication and Management, Communication Today, Sangam Research Journal, Adroitic International Journal, Himalayan Tourism, and STAPS Journal. His published studies explore diverse themes including artificial intelligence in journalism, the credibility of digital media, media translation, religious broadcasting, cinematic representation of historical events, and the comparative development of cinema and OTT platforms.
