Overview


Dr. Ravi Nigam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Coordinator of the Technical Skill Development Centre (TSDC-CDC) at Mody University of Science and Technology, Lakshmangarh, Rajasthan. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Design) from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad and completed his M.Tech. from NIT Durgapur.

He has published numerous research papers in reputed SCI-indexed journals and has presented his work at several national and international conferences. He has also authored multiple book chapters with recognised publishers and contributed to the academic community as a peer reviewer for leading journals published by Elsevier and Springer. He serves as an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Applications, Science Publication Group, New York, USA.

Dr. Nigam has been invited as a Keynote Speaker at several international forums, including ELECTROFORUM-2026 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), GMINFRA-2024 (Munich, Germany), ICEFORUM-2023 (Porto, Portugal), and ICMSE-2023 (China).

Research


Dr. Nigam's primary research interests include Vibrations, Mechanical Design, Failure Analysis, and Structural Health Monitoring. He has gained experience with advanced signal-processing techniques, image-processing techniques, noise-control treatments, and the Finite Element Method. During his Ph.D., he served as a Senior Project Fellow on a Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) sponsored project for two and a half years, and also worked on the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a Government of India sponsored project, for two years.
