Overview
Dr. Sarita Khaturia is a dedicated educator and accomplished researcher with 19 years of teaching experience and 23 years of active engagement in research. She has published 55 research papers (1229 citations; h-index: 18; i10-index: 28) and has been instrumental in guiding the academic growth of numerous scholars. She has successfully supervised 3 Ph.D. scholars, with four more currently pursuing doctoral research, alongside 18 M.Sc. dissertations, 12 B.Sc. dissertations, and 250 Project-Based Learning (PBL) projects. Dr. Khaturia has participated in over 40 national and international conferences, completed a collaborative NPIU-AICTE project (Rs. 10.97 lakh) as Co-Principal Investigator, managed four seed-money projects totalling Rs. 14.50 lakh, published three edited books, 20 book chapters, and holds seven patents.

Research
Dr. Khaturia's research lies in the domain of Green Chemistry. Her work focuses on the synthesis of novel biologically important molecular scaffolds, with the primary objective of eliminating or minimising the use of organic solvents in chemical processes, thereby advancing environmentally friendly chemistry that is both cost-effective and low in toxicity.
Within the framework of Green Chemistry, Dr. Khaturia has developed novel biodynamic sulphur- and nitrogen-containing ring systems using non-conventional energy sources such as microwaves and ultrasound, avoiding the time-consuming and labour-intensive extractive workup typically associated with conventional synthesis methods.
