Dr. Spriha Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Mody University of Science and Technology, with over 10 years of experience in forensic teaching and research. She previously served at Chandigarh University, Mohali. Her expertise encompasses Forensic Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, and Serology.

She holds a Ph.D. from Punjabi University, Patiala, and is a two-time UGC-NET qualifier and JRF awardee. She is recognised for her contributions to outcome-based education (OBE), MOOCs, and her role as a Centre Superintendent.

Dr. Sharma's research integrates Forensic Chemistry, Analytical Toxicology, and Environmental Forensics with a focus on Forensic Mycology. She studies poisonous Amanita mushrooms using HS-GC/MS, ATR-FTIR, and chemometrics for accurate differentiation and toxicological analysis. Her work extends to trace evidenceincluding cosmetics and shoe polish using TLC, FTIR, and AAS. She also explores forensic entomotoxicology and emerging issues such as cough syrup abuse and ink analysis, enhancing forensic reliability through advanced instrumentation and statistical validation.
