Dr. Vivek Goyal is a distinguished legal academician, researcher, administrator and mentor with extensive experience in legal education, academic leadership, institutional governance, and professional training.

Prior to joining Mody University, Dr. Goyal held several academic leadership positions and has served as Head of Law Schools at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, and BharatiVidyapeeth University, New Delhi Campus. Through these roles, he has made significant contributions to legal education, curriculum innovation, academic administration and student development.

Before entering academia, Dr. Goyal served as a Law Officer at PEC Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. His experience in the corporate and public sectors enriched his understanding of legal practice, regulatory compliance, contract management, dispute resolution, and governance, enabling him to effectively bridge the gap between legal theory and practice.

Dr. Goyal holds a Ph.D. in Dispute Resolution in Sports. His doctoral research pioneered academic scholarship in the field of Sports Law in India, and he is recognized as the first scholar in India to be awarded a Ph.D. in Sports Law. He also holds a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, reflecting his multidisciplinary academic background. A UGC-NET and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Awardee, Dr. Goyal combines rigorous academic training with practical professional experience.

An accomplished teacher and mentor, Dr. Goyal is widely appreciated for his student-centric approach, analytical teaching methods and commitment to academic excellence.
