Overview
Mr. Rishi Kumar holds undergraduate, postgraduate, and M.Phil. degrees in Spanish from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and is UGC-NET qualified. He has been serving as Assistant Professor of Spanish at Mody University since 2011, teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language to students for over 15 years. Mr. Kumar specialises in Translation Studies with a focus on Spanish and Hindi grammar. His M.Phil. work explores structural contrasts and convergences between these languages, analysing phonetic, morphological, and syntactic aspects including sound systems, verb conjugation, tense-aspect systems, and syntactic alignment. His work also investigates how grammatical differences shape translation strategies and influence meaning transfer, contributing to improved translation pedagogy, bilingual lexicography, and cross-cultural communication.
