Overview
Ms. Lavanya serves as a dedicated Teaching Assistant and Sports Coordinator at the School of Design, Mody University of Science and Technology. In the classroom, she helps students create high-quality design projects by teaching them how to apply Design Thinking to solve real-world problems. Her focus areas include User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, covering skills such as wireframing, user research, interactive prototyping, and information architecture to ensure digital solutions are both intuitive and visually compelling.
She provides expert technical guidance in industry-standard tools including Figma for interactive prototyping, Adobe Illustrator for scalable vector graphics, and Adobe Photoshop for high-end image editing and visual composition. She also incorporates CAD for graphics to ensure students can handle precise technical layouts and structured design elements.
Outside the classroom, she manages the School of Design’s sports activities, helping students develop teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Through the dual lens of creative expertise and physical well-being, she ensures students graduate as talented, healthy, and well-rounded professionals.

Research
Ms. Lavanya's research is dedicated to exploring and optimising the relationship between people and the digital world, centred on Human-Machine Interaction (HMI), User Interface (UI) Design, and User Experience (UX) Strategy.
Her work investigates how users communicate with complex systems, with a particular interest in reducing cognitive load ensuring that technology feels like a natural extension of human intent rather than a barrier. She analyses user behaviour, conducts usability testing, and iterates on design frameworks to ensure digital products are inclusive, accessible, and psychologically engaging.
