Report on Women’s Health and Hygiene Awareness Program

Mody University of Science and Technology, Lakshmangarh, under the initiative of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) 2.0, has organized an event forWoman’s Health and Hygiene Awareness in Yalsar Village on 09 September 2025. The event was for the awareness on menstrual hygiene, women’s health, and education among rural women and adolescent girls, thereby empowering them with knowledge and practices for a healthier lifestyle.

Program Highlights

  • The program was attended by more than 70 women and 50 girl students from Yalsar village.
  • We were honoured to have Ms. Prachi Kaushik, Director of Vyomini Foundation, as the expert speaker. With her extensive experience and dedication in the field of women’s health, Ms. Kaushik delivered an insightful and interactive session on menstrual hygiene awareness and education.

The session covered essential topics such as:

  • Breaking myths and taboos associated with menstruation
  • Importance of personal hygiene during menstruation
  • Use of sanitary products and safe disposal practices
  • Nutritional care for women and adolescent girls

The program was conducted with the support and guidance of the Gram Pradhan (Sarpanch) Ms. Suchitra D/o Mr. Rajendra Singh, whose presence encouraged the participation of local women and students.

As a token of appreciation and encouragement, all participating women were felicitated with a saree by the UBA Team of Mody University of Science and Technology. This gesture was warmly received and added a sense of celebration to the event.

The program successfully created a positive impact on the women and girls of Yalsar Village, equipping them with knowledge and confidence to adopt safe and healthy practices. The active participation of the community and the enthusiastic involvement of the expert speaker made the event highly effective.

Mody University, through its UBA activities, continues to be committed to the upliftment of rural communities by addressing critical issues such as women’s health, education, and empowerment. The Women’s Health Awareness Program at Yalsar Village was a meaningful step toward breaking social barriers and promoting well-being among women.
