– Labs and Facilities

The Physiotherapy Laboratory of our college is a well-equipped, modern facility designed to support high-quality teaching, clinical training, and research in the field of rehabilitation sciences. The lab provides students with hands-on exposure to a wide range of therapeutic techniques, enabling them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. It is furnished with advanced electrotherapy and exercise therapy equipment, including ultrasound therapy units, shortwave diathermy, interferential therapy (IFT), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) units, muscle stimulators, paraffin wax, hydra-collator unit, continuous passive motion, infrared radiation and ultraviolet radiation, traction units, and laser therapy devices. For exercise therapy, the lab houses parallel bars, biofeedback mirrors, shoulder wheels, pulley systems, exercise mats, Swiss balls, dumbbells, weight cuffs, resistance bands, stationary bicycles, treadmills, and balance training equipment such as wobble boards.

In addition, the laboratory is equipped with essential assessment tools such as goniometers, inch tapes, skinfold calipers, reflex hammers, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, and posture analysis charts, which help students develop precise evaluation and diagnostic skills. Specialised equipment for neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, including tilt tables, walkers, wheelchairs, and assistive devices, is also available to simulate real-life patient care scenarios. The lab environment is designed to replicate a clinical setup, promoting professional practice, patient handling skills, and ethical standards.

Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students are trained in evidence-based practices and individualised treatment planning. The Physiotherapy Lab not only enhances clinical competence but also encourages research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning. Overall, it serves as a vital component of the academic infrastructure, preparing students to become skilled, compassionate, and competent physiotherapy professionals.
